Bringing Wessex Gin to Life

Wessex Gin opened in 2017 with the aim of crafting an exceptional gin that would pay tribute to the mighty ‘Alfred the Great’ who was king of Wessex for 15 years. Their wonderful gins incorporate botanicals that would have been around in the Anglo-Saxon era.

Having nailed an amazing bottle design and distilled a range of six stunning gins, all they needed was an exceptional sprit label to finish the bottle.

Having received a recommendation, Wessex Gin decided to approach Premier Labels with their designs. Premier’s ‘trusted advisory’ led approach, allowed Wessex to discuss and assess all their options, in terms of materials, colour schemes and most importantly embellishments before committing to purchase.

The decision was made to use ‘Fasson Verge FSC material’ which is a high-quality material with a lovely rich feel to it. This luxury material creates a refined contrast with high build gloss varnish which highlights the brand name/emblem, and the precise gold-foil drop shadow which gives the finished bottles incredible shelf presence.
