Custom Alcohol Labels

Wine, Spirits & Gin Labels

Making your drinks stand out on the shelves

Nobody thinks more about labels than someone running an alcohol business.

Will it catch customers’ eyes? Will it survive a night in an ice bucket? Will it be compliant?

Get your labels right, and they’ll sell your drinks for you. Get them wrong, and the best booze on the shelf will stay put.

We’re a UK drinks labelling company, specialising in designing and printing custom alcohol labels for wine, spirit and gin brands, from independent distilleries and vineyards to established names like Dead Man's Fingers and City of London Distillery.

Every label is produced in-house at our Guildford site to BRCGS and ISO-certified standards, on materials and finishes chosen to suit your bottle and target audience.

Custom Wine Bottle Labels

A wine label does a lot of heavy lifting. It’s one of the most information-dense alcohol labels you’ll find, needing to cover everything from region, grapes, vintage, style, provenance, and more.

It must do all of this while still looking aesthetic; like something a customer wants to bring to the table.

We print wine labels on a variety of textured and untextured stocks, and can include foiling, embossing, and other unique finishes to ensure that your bottle is unique on a crowded shop shelf.

And your wine spends its life around moisture, from chiller cabinets to ice buckets; we carefully choose the materials and adhesive to ensure it’ll retain its quality, no matter what’s thrown at it.

Custom Spirit Bottle Labels

From vodka and rum to whisky, liqueurs and pre-mixed drinks, spirits are fan favourites, but they all have one problem that’s very difficult to overcome:

There’s SO much competition.

Supermarket shelves display rows upon rows of spirits nowadays, meaning that you need to get creative if you want your drinks to stand out.

Hot foiling, high-quality varnishing, embossing, and tactile, quality card stocks give your bottles the weight people associate with premium. Spirit labels are our bread and butter. We know exactly what to do to ensure your labels help you sell more bottles.

Custom Gin Bottle Labels

Gin culture is unique – it’s a market full of small-batch and limited-edition releases, meaning a label needs to ooze personality. This includes everything else a traditional spirit label needs, but with added botanical storytelling and the confidence that suits a serious distillery.

We print everything, from minimalistic, single-colour runs to heavily illustrated, foiled and embossed designs. We’re set up for both short runs and the frequent relabelling that comes with seasonal and limited editions.

If you’ve got a story to tell and gin to sell, we’re here to help you.

Certifications, Quality, and Capabilities

We're BRCGS Packaging Materials certified and hold ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, so labels are produced to audited quality and environmental standards.

This means that, when you choose Premier Labels, you’re guaranteed quality labels that are certified and consistent, all at a reasonable price.

Our Clients’ Stories

Cadello 88

Cadello 88 came to us after their previous supplier's label kept fading and scratching in transit. We worked through material samples with them, then built a more durable front and neck label with detailed foil and embossing to match the premium look they were after.

Wessex Gin

Wessex Gin had already distilled a range of six gins and designed a striking bottle, and needed a label to finish it. They went with Fasson Verge FSC stock, high-build gloss varnish on the emblem, and a gold-foil drop shadow that gives the bottle real shelf presence.

Gin.co.uk

Gin.co.uk wanted their award-winning Derby gin to do more than sit on a shelf, so we turned the back label into a marketing tool: an embedded NFC tag that takes a shopper straight to a landing page about the drink when they tap it with a phone.

Sun Bear Spirits

Sun Bear Spirits had been told by several other printers that the rebrand they wanted was impossible: fine text reversed out of a solid gold block, embossed. We did it. The founder called us "the first label company to get this right first time."

FAQs

What types of alcohol can you label?

Wine, spirits and gin are our core categories, but the same materials and finishes apply across rum, vodka, whisky, liqueurs, vermouth and ready-to-drink cans and bottles. If it needs a label that looks the part and survives a cold, wet environment, we can produce it.

Can you print small or limited-edition batches?

Yes. Digital printing makes short runs, seasonal releases and limited editions cost-effective, without the plate costs that come with longer flexo runs. It also keeps relabelling and design tweaks straightforward while a range is still finding its feet.

Will alcohol labels survive ice buckets and condensation?

They can, but only if the material, adhesive and print are all specified for it. A waterproof label is not one waterproof element; it is the stock, the glue and the ink working together. For chiller and ice-bucket use, we would point you towards synthetic materials and adhesives rated for wet application rather than a standard paper.

Do you handle the legal information required on alcohol labels?

We build labels that carry the mandatory details, from ABV and net contents to allergen declarations and your business address, and we will flag anything obvious. Meeting the regulations that apply to your specific product is ultimately the brand's responsibility, but we make sure the label is built to accommodate them properly.

Are these labels or stickers?

They’re often the same thing. Self-adhesive labels are what most people mean by alcohol stickers or alcohol brand stickers: printed, finished and supplied on rolls ready for hand or machine application.
